The committee discussed timeline options for receiving board-member budget requests and suggested routing initial input through the finance and facilities committee before presenting consolidated recommendations to the full board.
A staff presenter said principals and directors have begun submitting departmental requests and that a formal request for board-member budget priorities will be circulated; committee members asked that the CFO include board requests in the compiled budget packet.
The committee made and seconded a motion to approve the budget calendar and to advertise the hearing; the motion carried.
