Veru said the existing home contained an illegal addition that would be removed and rebuilt to comply with current setbacks and lot-coverage standards.
Staff confirmed planning and zoning had recommended approval. Commissioner comments praised the design, noting the two-story massing is oriented toward the street and said the project is complementary to the neighborhood. One commissioner noted the project as an example of appropriate two-story design.
The commission adopted the approving resolution by roll-call vote (recorded as 4-0 in the transcript).
