Council hears routine business items: UGO beer/wine application, rock-supply award and other purchasing items

Lisa, the city recorder, said United Grocery Outlet (Bargain Barn DBA UGO #17) has applied to sell beer and wine; staff completed a manager background check with no issues and the item will move to the local beer board next week.
Purchasing director Lori said staff solicited bids for rock materials used by public works. Two bidders responded; Rogers Group was the only contractor responsive to the full bid package and offered lower prices on the most-used rock types. Public works recommended awarding contracts to Rogers Group.
Staff also briefed council on other routine procurement items and noted price increases for some materials; the transcript records staff recommendations but no recorded council roll-call votes in the study session.
