The City of DeBary renewed its annual facility use agreement with Gateway Center for the Arts, authorizing the nonprofit to continue operating arts and cultural programming at the city‑owned facility.
Parks and Recreation Director Jason Scheitzer presented the renewal and said the city maintains the facility while Gateway operates and programs events. Gateway Executive Director Terry Hoag summarized the last fiscal year’s activity: “We had 7 gallery exhibits... 120 classes... 37 concerts and events... 51 theater performances... 229 events, 635 opportunities serving 18,440 patrons.”
Councilmembers commended the organization’s programming and partnerships with the city. The council voted to renew the agreement as presented.
