The Shelbyville mayor and city council heard the second and final reading Nov. 6 of an ordinance to amend the city's zoning map by rezoning about 1.08 acres at 804 East Depot Street from R-3 (medium-density residential) to C-2 (general business).
Staff read the ordinance language, including the tax-map reference included in the packet. According to staff, the planning commission gave the rezoning a favorable recommendation before the council hearing. "This received a favorable recommendation from the planning commission," staff said during the reading.
