Staff said funds exist in the machinery and equipment line and will bring the repair request on the next consent agenda.
Staff also reviewed planned CIP purchases (boom bucket truck to replace an unreliable used unit, a water truck for landscape/compaction and barricade filling, replacement zero‑turn mowers, salt/sand spreaders and a snow plow). The public works team noted some items are available on manufacturer lead times and some may be lease‑purchased over five years. Council asked about usage, staffing and whether replacements are cyclical or new additions; staff responded that many are replacements and explained operational needs for water delivery and reach for streetlight/tree work.
No purchase approvals were taken at this meeting; staff will return with consent‑agenda items and budget details.
