Council to accept low bid for safety netting at Pack baseball complex (fields 5–8)

Staff presented a year‑long effort with Peachtree City Little League to replace aging netting at the Pack upper fields (fields 5–8). Little League paid for engineered design that uses two poles and a cable at a 45‑degree angle over home‑plate areas to reduce the risk of foul balls reaching spectators.
Frontier submitted the low construction bid at $77,800 to remove current netting, install new poles and the new netting system. Staff said funds are available in TPD (park dedication/impact) funds and will present the budget amendment and contract award on the next consent agenda.
