The South Lebanon City Council on Nov. 6 approved several routine and administrative items, including setting a public hearing and special meeting for a zoning map amendment, appointing a member to the Board of Zoning Appeals and authorizing payment for water-related software support.
Zoning public hearing and special meeting
The council adopted emergency resolution 2025-46 to set a public hearing on the planning commission's recommendation for a zoning map amendment related to properties on Zohr Road. City staff told the council the hearing timeline requires a special meeting; staff indicated the special meeting will be held Dec. 11. The council waived the two-reading rule and adopted the resolution by roll call; the transcript records a unanimous vote.
Board of Zoning Appeals appointment
City staff explained that BZA member Graham Hastings resigned and recommended William Pollock, a former BZA member and past chair who completed BZA training, to fill the vacancy. Council moved and seconded the appointment and approved it by roll call. A councilmember who said they serve on the BZA recused from the vote; the motion still carried.
Invoices, then-and-now certificate and minutes
Council approved routine invoices, and approved a then-and-now certificate for $3,700 and payment to Core & Main for annual water softener/software support, which staff said replaced a prior vendor (EJ Prescott). The council also approved the Oct. 16, 2025 meeting minutes.
