City staff presented final reconciliations for the Murfreesboro Transit Center project and sought council approval of change order No. 14 and the final contract balance.

Construction began in October 2023 with Rock City Construction Company and included an administration building, a transit pavilion and a bus maintenance building. Staff said the reconciliations and remaining contingency and unused allowances produced a net credit of $531,000. With the credit the final contract total is $17,300,000, which staff noted is under the engineer’s estimate.

Council approved the final balance and change order by roll call. Staff said the project supports the council’s infrastructure priorities and will improve transit operations and mobility for riders.
