The Board of School Trustees of the South Madison Community School Corporation conducted several routine business votes at its Nov. 6 meeting. The board approved the minutes of the previous regular meeting, approved accounts payable vouchers, approved three contracts (including a contract for coverage during a maternity leave), approved an insurance/reinsurance renewal, and accepted nonresident student requests for the 2025–26 school year.
Minutes: A motion to approve the minutes of the regular meeting was moved and seconded. During roll call, one board member (Penny) was recorded as abstaining; other named members were called and recorded as voting yes. The transcript shows the roll-call sequence beginning at 00:51:24.
Accounts payable vouchers: The board moved and seconded approval of accounts payable vouchers; a roll-call vote followed with named trustees recorded as voting yes.
Contracts: Administration asked the board to approve three contracts, including one with an education services vendor and one to cover a maternity leave. The board moved, seconded and approved the contract package by roll-call vote. Mr. McCarty presented the item.

Nonresident students: The board approved acceptance of nonresident students for the 2025–26 school year after a motion, second and a roll-call vote.
