The City of Racine Common Council approved the proposed 2026 wastewater utility operations and maintenance budget and the proposed 2026–2035 capital improvement plan, passing the motion 12–1 on Nov. 6.

Alder Weidner asked whether the wastewater budget included transferring positions to city hall or funding positions within the utility. Director Tillis responded, "those positions are not funded under the wastewater budget." The council then proceeded to a roll-call vote; the motion passed 12 ayes, 1 no.
