District consolidates five HR policies into a single employment and termination policy

Board members who had previously met with HR said the consolidation reduces the roughly 80 separate HR policies to a smaller, easier-to-navigate set. The superintendent noted that Tim and HR staff worked diligently on the reorganization and that the new policy is longer but more comprehensive.
No formal vote was recorded; staff said they would bring the consolidated policy forward for retirement of the older policies and for final board action in the normal agenda process.
Why this matters: consolidating policies can reduce ambiguity for staff, simplify compliance and speed administrative onboarding and review.
