Miss Bensley of the Department of Planning briefed the board on recent County Council actions. The staff report summarized three items read into the record on Nov. 6:
- Bill 67-25: Amends zoning regulations to permit the storage of construction equipment in Office/Residential (O-R-1) zones when the storage is related to a state highway construction project.
- Resolution 49-25: Urges the Maryland Department of the Environment to deny a wastewater permit requested by Days Cove Reclamation Company for a rubble landfill at 6425 Days Cove Road and to initiate a plan to close the site because of alleged pollution and noncompliance.
- Resolution 50-25 (and an associated 2024 zoning correction request): Requests that the director of planning amend the official comprehensive Fifth District zoning map to restore zoning classifications to those that existed before the 2024 CCMP zoning changes for certain parcels (references to parcel IDs provided in the staff report).
No related board action or vote on these items occurred at the Nov. 6 meeting; staff provided the report for the board's information.
