Commissioners and road staff agreed to begin surveying and to prepare a resolution to prioritize easements. One commissioner said a county-wide resolution could reduce the need to process hundreds of piecemeal easement actions: "That would mean one resolution and not having to piecemeal 535 miles." Staff said they would look at the applicable statute and whether a committee is required for the process.
No formal vote was recorded; commissioners directed staff to develop a plan, prioritize roads, and return a resolution to a future agenda so the county can meet the state timeline.
Action requested: staff to prepare a draft resolution and a prioritized list of roads for survey work and to identify funding sources for surveys and platting.
