The Brentwood Cemetery Trustees said Nov. 6 that they have installed a laminated QR code in the cemetery kiosk for public information and are supporting multiple community outreach activities this fall and winter.
Superintendent Joyce said a large, laminated QR code on an 8โ/2-by-11 sheet is now posted in the kiosk and that she will verify it scans through the laminate. She also reported Veterans Day cards are at the town library for residents to sign; the superintendent will deliver them to a nursing home for distribution.
Trustees discussed Wreaths Across America sponsorships and reported that 88 wreaths remained to be sponsored, with a Dec. 1 deadline to secure them. Joyce said she has student support from the Seacoast School of Technology FFA to assist with the wreath ceremony.
Joyce described a recent stone-cleaning presentation at the Village at 3 Ponds and offered a more hands-on session in spring at Grama Cemetery, with plans to register volunteers so they can access the site. She also offered to provide trustees with a shortened version of a New Hampshire Municipal Association presentation she delivers on cemetery accounting and proposed recording a training session for the town YouTube channel.
Trustees encouraged broad distribution of sponsorship links and suggested additional QR materials and flyers for public outreach.
