Oak and Reed liquor-license application approved; chair reads letter of support into record

The chair read a written letter from Friar Victor Saravan supporting the license and describing Oak and Reed’s “deep commitment to the common good of our community,” which the board entered into the record. The chair also noted the state of New York and the common council had approved the enabling steps that placed the application before the planning board.
With no members of the public stepping forward and with no objections from building or fire officials, the board voted by roll call to adopt the resolution to approve the license.
The approval follows the city’s licensing procedures and the state and common-council actions described on the record; the planning board’s role was limited to the land-use and site aspects of the application as reflected in the resolution.
