Local cannabis retailer expresses interest in opening second Pennsauken location; staff to follow up

William Serwa, who identified himself during public comment as associated with a local family-owned cannabis dispensary, told the Township Committee on Nov. 6 that his business is interested in opening a second retail location in Pennsauken.
Serwa said the dispensary is local and family run and highlighted its community involvement and charitable work. “We’re very local, family oriented. We do a lot of stuff in our community, a lot of charity work,” he said.
Committee members and staff said the township already permits multiple retail cannabis licenses in commercial zones and suggested Serwa follow up with the township’s economic development office. The meeting record shows staff offered to connect Serwa with Mr. Shakir from economic development for next steps; Serwa and staff agreed to exchange contact information.
No application had been filed at the time of the Nov. 6 meeting, and no formal action was taken.
