Myers said the Tofford housing project is nearly complete; the developer has been given permission to take applications starting Dec. 1, and final plumbing and life‑safety items remain to be inspected before certificates of occupancy are issued. He also said the new marijuana retail/processing facility on 8 and Kelly is nearing final approval.
Myers reported the department is pursuing nuisance abatement on approximately eight or nine unsafe houses, reflecting more aggressive enforcement as staffing expands. He asked the commission to keep the department accountable as it works toward efficiencies that will support master‑plan and code goals.
No formal action was taken; commissioners thanked staff and wished the community a happy Thanksgiving.
