PACE representatives told the committee the agency has seen steady ridership gains across the summer months and that recent legislative and RTA board actions changed PACE’s 2026 budget posture.
Ed Gallagher of PACE reported July through September systemwide ridership increases compared with 2024 (July up slightly, August and September each showing multi‑percent increases) and said September 2025 represented the highest month of ridership in the current calendar period. Gallagher said emergency actions at the RTA following passage of the state law led the agency to remove a proposed 2026 fare increase and to retain funding for certain programs that had faced elimination in earlier budget drafts.
Gallagher said PACE also expects to keep investing in service frequency and targeted system improvements as additional regional funding flows become available. Gary Scott, PACE community relations, and incoming senior mobility manager Nate Seeskin introduced staffing and contact updates and said PACE will publish further details as budget and revision planning proceeds.
Committee members asked about complaint volumes and operational performance; PACE staff said on‑time performance and complaints have remained within expected ranges and provided customer‑relations contact information for riders to submit concerns.
