Committee approves prior minutes, defers funding recommendations until Nov. 19

The Northampton Community Preservation Committee opened its Nov. 5 online meeting with a roll-call vote to approve minutes from the March 19 meeting. Committee member Julia moved to approve the minutes; Martha seconded. During the roll call the clerk read member responses; the transcript records one abstention (Paul) and otherwise affirmative responses.
The committee then heard public testimony on five proposals (Mineral Hills South acquisition; Florence Fields scoreboards; Valley CDC's 27 Crafts Avenue affordable housing; a pump track proposed by the Northampton Cycling Club; and a Westhampton Road cottage by Pioneer Valley Habitat for Humanity). Chair Bridal Adams said the committee would likely not make recommendations that night and scheduled a decision meeting for Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 7:00 p.m.
Committee members asked staff to confirm grant and line-item assumptions used in the financial spreadsheet; staff said she would circulate a revised financial report in advance of the Nov. 19 meeting. A motion to adjourn was made and seconded and the meeting concluded.
Actions recorded during the meeting are procedural (minutes approval and adjournment); no funding motions were made on Nov. 5.
