The Mass DCR service forester, Jim Rasman, reported receiving eight inquiries from Lakeville residents after the outreach effort. The committee also noted a Wildlands Trust webinar and distribution of printed materials: staff tabulated 33 Chapter 61 pamphlets and 29 "Protecting Your Legacy" pamphlets picked up at the town hall, library and senior center.
Committee members concluded the outreach effort was successful in raising awareness and generating inquiries to the assessor and Mass DCR. The committee plans only limited remaining follow-up: respond to individual inquiries as they arrive and monitor whether additional printed materials are needed.
