Lions Club schedules bingo and pancake breakfast; member outlines upcoming podcast and animal-rescue book

Lori Fifko, representing the Lions Club, told KWCD listeners about two community fundraisers and her own animal-focused podcast.
Fifko said the Lions Club will host bingo on Saturday, Nov. 8, beginning about 2 p.m. at the Lions Club building at 125 S. Huachuca Blvd. She said bingo cards will be sold at the door for three for $12, or listeners can call Christy at (520) 508-3120 to buy advance cards for three for $10.
The club27s pancake breakfast will be Sunday, Nov. 9, from 8 a.m. to about 10:30 a.m. at the same address. Fifko said the full breakfast will include pancakes, eggs, fruit, sausage, potatoes and gravy; door price is $8 and advance tickets are $6.
Fifko also described her seven-year podcast, Calling All Creatures, and listed upcoming episodes featuring an animal refuge in Freeport, Fla., and a December 4 program on feline behavior and home enrichment. She recommended Happy Story, a short-story book by Summer Harris about an animal named "Happy," available through major retailers.
