Commissioners hold multiple executive sessions, approve suspensions, adopt auditor wage scales and clear routine administrative items

After department presentations on Nov. 6, the Berks County Board of Commissioners recessed several times for executive sessions and returned to approve multiple personnel and administrative actions.

Motions and roll-call votes: a motion to move into executive session to discuss labor negotiations was made and seconded; roll-call votes during that session were recorded in the transcript. Later the board moved into a separate executive session on discipline at Dayspring; upon return the board voted to impose a two-day working suspension (group 2, number 7 violation) and a one-day working suspension (group 1, number 17 violation) on employees.
