September revenues favorable despite temporary closure; one‑time labor costs noted

"We had 42,000 overall favorable with those additional lines of bowling compared to prior year," Cliff said, summarizing the headline figures. He told the committee some $9,000 of unfavorable expense came from internal labor the operation borrowed to help complete Lizard Acres and billiards‑room tasks. Cliff said the extra labor and some ceiling/grid work were one‑time costs that staff expect to offset with future revenue.
Year‑to‑date, the operation was about $33,000 favorable to budget and roughly $38,000 ahead of prior year revenue, Cliff said. He cautioned the committee that October data was still being compiled and would be reported at the next sports pavilion committee meeting.
The committee had no formal fiscal vote at the meeting; staff said further details and October financials will be presented at the Dec. 11 meeting.
