The Design Review Board approved design review 25-1533 on Nov. 6, 2025, authorizing a new in-ground pool, spa and associated mechanical equipment at 3005 Mountain View Drive. Staff and the applicant said the project complied with design-review guidelines and development standards, and the board found the action categorically exempt from CEQA.

Board members asked that the pool mechanical equipment be screened. The applicant agreed to provide a five-foot fence and to construct an additional shroud — a vinyl or wood enclosure — around the equipment for sound attenuation and visual screening. The board attached the requirement that the shroud meet the reasonable satisfaction of city staff to avoid later disputes about adequacy.

The resolution adopting design review 25-1533 passed on roll call. Staff will confirm the shroud design during plan check and prior to issuance of building permits.
