The Will County Transportation Committee approved four transportation actions during its November meeting, taking votes on engineering, utility reimbursement and speed‑zone changes.
The committee approved a supplemental professional services agreement for phase 2 design engineering with Epstein and Sons International on the proposed Gallagher Road bridge over the CN Railroad (County Board District 2). The motion was moved and seconded and passed by roll call.
The committee also approved an agreement between the County of Will and Northern Illinois Gas Company to reimburse the company for relocating facilities needed for improvements on Galaga Road (as presented). That motion passed by roll call.
Committee members approved the establishment of an altered speed zone (705) along Stunkle Road in Green Garden Township (County Board District 3). The committee also approved altered speed zones 706–711 in the Lincoln Estates subdivision in Frankfort Township (County Board District 3). Both speed‑zone items passed on recorded votes.
All four items were presented with brief staff remarks and moved to roll call votes; each motion carried as recorded in the meeting minutes.
