The Guymon City Council voted to table consideration of awarding the bid for Nash Soccer Complex Phase 2, which would add parking and sidewalks.
City Manager Shannon recommended tabling the item because of an emergency sewer line repair that required immediate attention and reallocation of funds. Shannon told council the city still has until September 2026 to take advantage of a matching grant but that the budgetary priorities changed in the short term. He said tabling allows staff to reopen bids if necessary and present updated budget information at the council's next meeting.
A motion to table the item passed by voice vote with four ayes. Council indicated they expect updated information within about 30 days as the budget process continues.
Ending: Staff will revisit the project after further budget review and, if required, reopen the bidding process.
