Council approves agreement to install hole markers at Sunset Hills Golf Course

Contractor representatives described a buy-a-marker advertising program and told council members the new markers will replace older granite markers. "We're just not going to get rid of them. So, there'll be a special place set aside for those markers because I know 2 or 3 of them are in memory of somebody else," one speaker said. City staff told council the draft agreement was reviewed by the city attorney and recommended for approval.
A motion to approve the agreement passed by voice vote with four ayes. During the discussion council members asked where the old markers would be stored and emphasized preserving memorial markers.
