At the Oct. 8 meeting the Dungeness River Management Team approved the Sept. 10, 2025 meeting minutes by voice vote. The team later moved to accept meeting video recordings as the official record of DRMT meetings in place of monthly approval of narrative minutes.
DRMT Chair Hansi House summarized the executive committee’s recommendation that the team move to recordings as the historical record and that any formal actions (resolutions, letters) continue to be retained as records. House said the recommendation responds to county staff capacity limits preparing narrative notes and to the administrative burden of monthly minute approval.
A motion to adopt video recordings as the official meeting record was made during the meeting and seconded; members indicated approval by voice (ayes) and the motion carried. Meeting staff said they will continue to keep a sign‑in sheet and Zoom attendance as a backup and recommended that the bylaws review include a records‑retention section to define how long video recordings will be kept.
Why it matters: the change reduces staff time spent producing approved narrative minutes and clarifies that recordings and any formal action records will serve as the durable archive. The team asked staff to continue producing attendance lists and to ensure recordings are accessible while the bylaws committee considers retention policy.
Actions at the meeting included approval of the Sept. 10 minutes and a vote adopting recordings as the official meeting record; participants recorded no formal objections during the voice votes.
The team adjourned after Ecology and staff reminders about grant opportunities and upcoming agenda items.
