St. Augustine Beach adopts minor comprehensive-plan edits to reflect state requirements

The City Commission on Nov. 4 adopted Ordinance 25-12, a non-substantive amendment to the City of St. Augustine Beach comprehensive plan intended to reflect changes in state requirements and local conditions.
Staff said the updates consist primarily of spelling and grammatical corrections, clarifications to the historical-preservation section and incorporation of the stormwater utility. Planning & Zoning considered the draft at its Oct. 21 meeting and approved the item on first reading. No members of the public spoke during the public-hearing portion of the item. The city attorney read the ordinance title into the record and the commission voted in favor by voice vote.
The ordinance provides for conflicts, severability, codification and an effective date; staff reported no substantive policy changes beyond the clarifications described in the staff report.
