Negranti Creamery opens in North Peoria, touts farm-to-spoon sheep's-milk ice cream

Negranti Creamery opened its doors in North Peoria at Trailhead at 83rd Avenue and Happy Valley Road, a host said during a community news segment. "Negranti Creamery just opened their doors in North Peoria," the host said, noting the location is one of three in the state.

The creamery said it sources milk from a farm in Dallas, Oregon that "has about 400 sheep" and is expanding its flock to increase production. "They're treated very well. They are out on the grass, most of the time in the sunshine," the Negranti representative said, describing the farm's care practices.

The segment described sheep's milk as a base for many of the shop's flavors. "Sheep's milk is higher in protein and a little less fatty and super creamy," the representative said. The shop also uses cow's milk for some traditional flavors, the representative added.

Since opening, staff said the Peoria location has seen regular returning customers. "We have a ton of repeat families coming in, and so it's something that is super important to us," the Negranti representative said, adding that the shop aims to be a place where families can linger.

Menu offerings include more than a dozen flavors, seasonal varieties, a sorbet and a coffee menu. The host described a "flight" of ice cream as four different flavors sampled together and recommended the pumpkin affogato, comparing it to an "adult root beer float." The segment also mentioned an "ice cream nachos" item—three scoops of ice cream served with waffle cone chips—and pastries made locally by a bakeshop.

The segment focused on product and customer experience; no policy decisions, votes, permits or public-agency actions were discussed during the exchange.
