Committee members reviewed final logistics for a Veterans Day coffee-and-donuts event scheduled for Nov. 11 at the firehouse. The program will offer coffee, donuts and a brief tour of the firehouse to attendees.
Organizers said they have secured four dozen (48) donuts from a local donor and recommended ordering additional boxes and smaller "munchkin" style items to avoid shortages. The committee discussed supplying extra pastries to City Hall staff, police and fire personnel if donations exceed event needs. Volunteers will supply decorations and creamer; staff will post the event on the city website, social channels and community calendars.
Committee members confirmed the firehouse will provide a tour as part of the event and agreed to coordinate public notices through local media and the City’s mass-mail vendor. No formal council action was required at the meeting.
