Board approves personnel recommendations; district hires six RBTs and names finance director

Following an executive session for personnel and litigation updates, the Conway School District board voted to approve the personnel recommendations presented at the Oct. 14 meeting.
The superintendent reported that the district was able to hire six registered behavior technicians (RBTs) as part of previously approved behavior-plan staffing and that Sean Higginbotham will join the central office as director of finance on Nov. 1. Board members welcomed the hires during the open session after returning from executive session. The board approved personnel recommendations by motion and voice vote; no roll-call tally was recorded in the meeting transcript.
District leaders thanked staff involved in recruitment and noted the RBT hires support the district—s behavior plan and efforts to provide more direct student supports.
