Ben (staff) summarized the technical requirement from the Office of School Construction grants: "The project has been closed out as fully completed by the Town of Cheshire's Public Building Commission," he said, framing the motion presented to the board.
A motion was made and seconded; the board approved the confirmation unanimously. Board members said the completion closed a long-standing list of facility improvements that dated back to an earlier compliance review, and they thanked staff for managing the project. The action clears the way for the district to seek the identified state reimbursement of about $409,000.
The vote was procedural and limited to confirming completion and acceptance for grant closeout. No additional construction or expenditures were authorized by this motion.
