Committee approves campus wayfinding signs for Coffee County courthouse complex

The Capital Outlay Committee approved a proposal Nov. 6 to install new wayfinding signs on the Coffee County courthouse campus designed to help visitors locate services including the mayor's office, license and tag services, codes and voter registration.
A presenter described the sign as approximately 7 feet tall and 5 feet wide and said a vendor quoted included poles, mounting and installation. During discussion committee members corrected a layout error on the draft signage (the codes department was listed twice) before the motion was approved by voice vote.
Committee members favored a reflective finish and county-standard colors. The motion did not allocate additional funds during the meeting; staff said the quoted price would be paid as specified in the vendor proposal and that the vendor would perform installation.
