Albemarle County planner tells BPAC: county comprehensive plan adopted; multimodal work underway

An Albemarle County transportation planner told the committee that the county—s comprehensive plan (referred to in the meeting as "AC 44") was adopted on Oct. 15 and that implementation will begin Jan. 1. The planner said the county is now starting conversations about a county multimodal transportation plan but is not moving to create a county-level Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee at this time because staff are occupied with several VDOT studies.
The planner—s remarks were a brief announcement during the meeting—s public comment and staff updates and were intended to inform BPAC members who work across city-county lines.
