LaSalle County IT says ethics database and voter-registration migration nearly complete

IT staff told the Nov. 7 meeting that the countys new ethics database for the county clerk is nearly finished and that voter-registration data are being transferred from an older ES&S system into a new GBS system; the voter system is in a temporary freeze while the snapshot transfers are completed.
John reported that most IT projects are close to completion.
"The projects are almost all wrapped up," John said, noting a new ethics database for the county clerk and work to finish a new voter-registration system.
He said the elections team had taken a snapshot of the legacy ES&S voter-registration system and was transferring that data into the new GBS system; during the transfer period staff cannot add records to either the old or the new system. John said he expected the migration to be complete in a few weeks.
The committee did not take additional action on these projects during the Nov. 7 meeting.
