The Commission on Teacher and Administrator Education, Certification, Licensure and Development on Friday ratified three agreed orders disciplining licensed educators for violations of the Mississippi Educator Code of Ethics, the Office of Educator Misconduct told the commission.
The Office of Educator Misconduct presented the three agreed orders. According to the presentation, Ebony Marshall (license no. 224202) was found to have a Standard 9 testing violation following a complaint from Jackson Public School District on March 30, 2024, and will be placed on probation for five calendar years. Logan Polk (license no. 322431) was the subject of a Standard 4 (educator–student relations) complaint from the Pearl Public School District on Sept. 11, 2025, and will be placed on probation for two calendar years. William Boone (license no. 206648) entered an agreed order providing for suspension of his license for two calendar years following a Standard 4 complaint received from the Jones County School District; the order requires completion of three course hours related to educator ethics and proof of completion to OEM prior to the suspension period. Upon conclusion of the suspension period, the respondent may petition for reinstatement and must show evidence of rehabilitation before the commission will consider reinstatement.
Chair David Martin called for ratification. A motion to ratify the agreed orders was made by Anne Wilson and seconded by Rebecca Gray; the commission approved the motion by voice vote.
