Chad Olsen presented nine recommended reappointments to the Lucas County Workforce Development Board and the commissioners approved the slate by roll call.
The nominees included representatives from business, labor, education and the mandated government partner: Adrian Bradley (ProMedica), Lisa Burton (Hollywood Casino), Vanessa Gagne (Buckeye Broadband), Scott Haze (Toledo Refining), Laura Jenkins (Associated General Contractors of Northwest Ohio), Tom Dimitru (Toledo Public Schools), Lee Daher (Central Midwest Carpenters), David Tackitz (Goodwill Industries), and Jeremy Niesley (Ohio Department of Job and Family Services) as the mandated partner.
Olsen said the board will focus on operationalizing the county’s newly approved workforce strategic plan at an upcoming meeting, with the reconstituted board “leading the way.” Commissioners voted to reappoint the nine members; the clerk recorded affirmative votes.
