The Lucas County Board of Commissioners on Oct. 7 approved a package of contracts and professional services for projects at the county—s Water Resource Recovery Facility, including engineering and construction work related to anaerobic digester cover replacement and UV disinfection.
Nate Incrotte, presenting for the sanitary engineer, described five items: a private agreement for sanitary sewer and a water supply line at Rivertree Plat 2 in Sylvania Township; a professional services agreement with Fishbeck for construction administration and services for the anaerobic digester cover replacement project ($408,800); an award of construction to Peterson Construction Company of Walpole for the digester cover replacement ($6,569,000); a Fishbeck services agreement for the UV disinfection system ($786,800); and a Fishbeck design agreement for digester heat exchangers ($241,900).
Commissioner Gerken moved approval of items 6 through 10 and the clerk called the roll. Commissioners Gerken, Lopez and Cebecchi recorded yes votes and the items were approved.
The digester cover replacement was presented as a full construction contract award; Incrotte identified the successful bidder and the contract value during the presentation. Fishbeck—s separate professional-services agreements were presented with dollar amounts for engineering, construction administration and design.
The agreements and award will move forward under the sanitary engineer and the Water Resource Recovery Facility for procurement, contract execution and project administration.
