Student representatives report fall sports, band honors and upcoming events at Manheim Township High

Student representatives Joelle Francis and Shreya Segal delivered the student report at the Manheim Township School Board meeting, highlighting fall athletics, performing-arts recognition and upcoming school events.
Shreya Segal, a sophomore, and Joelle Francis, a senior, summarized team results: girls tennis, girls cross country and girls soccer earned section or league championships; boys golf, girls golf, boys cross country and other teams similarly advanced to postseason play. The marching band earned a superior rating at an Eastern York showcase and won "best band" at a regional parade for the third consecutive year.
The representatives also noted school activities: a Rachel's Challenge assembly promoting kindness, a homecoming with about 1,100 attendees, a second-annual trunk-or-treat fundraiser on Oct. 25 (community admission requested, $5 suggested donation to benefit pediatric cancer charities) and the upcoming fall play with performances in November.
Board members thanked the students for the report.
