The Souderton Area School District included a 2026 bond-parameters resolution on its Oct. 23 consent agenda that the meeting materials state authorizes up to $55,000,000 for planning, designing, constructing and equipping capital projects.
Public commenter Alex Wisser noted the resolution on the agenda now calls for up to $55,000,000 rather than the $45,000,000 shown during the committee presentation and called attention to a line in the resolution referencing planning and improvements including an HVAC renovation and improvements at Oak Ridge Elementary School. "After hearing from families and staff about the conditions at Oak Ridge I'm glad to see that that will be addressed," Wisser said, but he also asked whether the operations committee will review HVAC work at Oak Ridge.
The bond-parameters resolution was part of the consent action items (7.2–7.22) and was approved when the consent agenda was accepted by voice vote. The transcript records the public comment requesting an update and a board member said the operations committee could provide an update at a future meeting.
The resolution text on the agenda enumerated a range of capital purposes and authorized a parameters resolution; the meeting transcript does not record a roll-call vote for the consent agenda items, only a voice vote and "Motion passes." The record does not include detailed project budgets or schedules; commenters requested that committee meetings provide further project updates.
