The operations committee of the Whitehall-Coplay School District met shortly after 4 p.m. to hear district staff present final credits for unused material allowances from two contractors working on the Education Center and Gockley Elementary School.
Mr. Saloom, operations committee chair, called up Mr. Sanders, a district staff member, to present the change-order credits. Sanders said the credits are for “unused material allowance” and that one credit applies to Wing Gap Electric, the electrical contractor at the Education Center, and the other to Skeptons (the general contractor at Gockley Elementary). Sanders stated that “Skeptan is just above 12 and Wing Gap was just above a thousand.”
District staff said the credits should allow the projects to be financially closed out. No formal motion or vote on the credits was recorded during the operations portion of the meeting; staff indicated the credits will be applied as part of final project closeout processes.
Minutes and next steps: staff will finalize the financial closeout for both projects and report back as needed during future business meetings.
