City audit completed; municipal audit board review and presentation to commission scheduled

City finance staff told the commission Oct. 7 that the city’s annual audit is complete and final and has been submitted to Moody’s for rating consideration and to EMMA for public disclosure. Staff said the municipal audit board still must meet to review the audit before a formal commission acceptance; staff expect the audit to be presented to the commission for approval roughly Oct. 21.
Staff also reported the housing authority met its HUD filing deadline of Sept. 30. Finance staff said the final audit was provided to Moody’s to allow posting on EMMA and that internal scheduling is under way to complete the municipal audit-board review.
