The staff member said that because of limited HUD responsiveness, the commission could not recall the waiver and worried the case would follow a prior matter that became stalled after a referral to the Department of Justice.
Commission staff did not propose a change in authority; they described ongoing monitoring and indicated that commissioners would receive conflict-of-interest questionnaires for H42025 when available.
The report also noted there were no active public-accommodation complaints at this time and that one matter had been waived to HUD earlier in the docket period.
The commission did not take additional formal action on the specific housing complaints during the meeting; staff said they would follow up if circumstances change.
