The Board of Supervisors approved consent calendar item 7, a subdivision plat, after a supervisor pulled the item for a brief question about required road improvements.
When asked whether the developer must extend Fortuna Road all the way to County 13th Street, planning staff said Fortuna Road must be improved to the subdivision's access point. Planning staff added that County 13th Street — a perimeter road — would also have to be improved if the developer had not obtained a variance or modification from the subdivision regulations. "Fortuna Road will have to be improved up to the access point for the subdivision," planning staff said. County staff later clarified that if no perimeter‑road variance was granted, County 13th Street improvements would be required as well.
After staff answered the question, a motion and second were made and the board voted to approve item 7 as presented.
