Donna Jackson, audit section supervisor for the Louisiana State Police Gaming Audit Section, told the Louisiana Gaming Control Board on Oct. 16 that the 15 operating riverboats generated $131,735,955 in adjusted gross receipts for September and that the state collected fees totaling $28,323,230.
The figures were presented during the board's Item 4, the monthly revenue reports. Jackson opened by identifying herself and the audit section before giving the totals: "In September, the 15 operating riverboats generated adjusted gross receipts of $131,735,955. The state collected fees totaling $28,323,230," she said.
The revenue report was delivered after the board established a quorum and completed routine business, including a formal recognition of outgoing board member Lamar Poole and the introduction of Mikael Hannigan as the designee for Secretary Nelson. Earlier in the meeting, the board approved the minutes of its Sept. 18, 2025 meeting. Mr. Langley moved to waive the reading and approve the minutes; Ms. Becknell seconded. Chairman Hebert said he heard no discussion and, after no opposition was voiced, stated "that motion carries and the minutes are approved."
The report provides the board and the public with the monthly accounting of gaming activity and fee collections tied to riverboat operations in the state. The board did not record further discussion or follow-up direction related to the September revenue totals during the portion of the meeting covered by the transcript.
