City Clerk Kimberly Dillon told the commission the city charter requires an annual selection of a vice mayor and asked the commission for consensus to identify the individual who will serve the coming one-year term. The city clerk said the item would be placed on the December agenda for formal record.

Vice Mayor Daniel recommended that Commissioner Bolton serve as vice mayor and a commissioner seconded the recommendation. No other nominations were raised and Commissioner Bolton indicated he would accept the role for the coming year.

The clerk said the charter-driven selection will be formally added to the December agenda; commissioners did not take a roll-call vote at the workshop but recorded consensus on the floor.
