Committee: FY25 audit progressing, staff report frequent daily exchanges with auditors

"We have been extremely busy with audit the last couple of weeks. I'm having multiple meetings with them a week, talking to them just about every day, a lot of documentation going back and forth," said Miss Sullivan, who reported the audit is "moving forward in a really, really positive direction." Committee members responded that the work appears to be on schedule.
Committee discussion focused on timing rather than findings; no audit findings were raised during the update and staff did not present a completed audit report at the meeting. The committee did not take formal action on the audit at this session.
The update was delivered during Item 1 of the agenda and was described as ongoing work. Staff indicated they are answering auditors’ questions and providing requested documentation as the review continues. The committee will receive additional information once the auditors complete their field work and issue formal findings or a clean opinion.
