He told the commission that federal funding components for the broader project total up to a maximum of $682,000 in federal funds, which requires a county match of approximately $9,000. He also said the county had already paid around $33,000 for Prox engineering and the asphalt for the two miles that were previously paved as part of the larger scope.
Commissioner (unnamed) moved to approve the contract with B and B Bridge Company and authorize the county match; the motion was seconded and recorded as approved by voice vote. Commissioners requested three copies of contract documents to be filed.
The commission did not report any bid protests or objections during the meeting.
